Save the date! On the weekend of the 8th and 9th of July, Porto will host the 2023 edition of Tamashii Cup, an international competition with a shinpan seminar. This event is organized by Kendo Clube do Porto, under the auspices of the Portuguese Kendo Federation.

Do you need reasons to join us in lovely, sunny Porto? Besides the amazing city, with its charming blend of old and modern, its delicious gastronomy and friendly people, you will have the opportunity to learn, compete and make new friends (while hitting them , of course).

The 8th of July is reserved for a shinpan seminar open to all levels and lead by European Nanadan Sensei, international referees at the highest level, and open to all participants, be it to learn and enhance refereeing knowledge and skills or to better understand with shinpan what goes into making a successful ippon.

The 9th of July is the day that everything gets put to test. The whole day is reserved for shiai and will have three different competions:

– Mudan to Shodan
– Nidan and Up (open)
– Three member teams (no restrictions)

Participation in this weekend is open to all national and international participants registered and with good standing with their respective Federation (registered with EKF or FIK).
